Explore the map

This is an interactive map of my real occurrence records and the clusters they form. Toggle the layers and switch between street and satellite views.

Every layer here uses real data: 1,402 georeferenced records from GBIF across northwest and central Connecticut, the Getis-Ord Gi* hotspots computed from them, a monitoring-priority tiering of those clusters, and my four field study sites. Click a point for its species, year, and source; use the layer control at the top-right to turn layers on and off.

The map background loads from the internet, and the data points are built in. The priority tiers come from the real Gi* clusters, not the simulated planning framework, so this whole map really is real data.
